Wixx PRO Aqua Wood Impregnator UV+

Wixx PRO Aqua Wood Impregnator UV+ is a high-quality, water-based wood impregnator designed as the first protective coat for both transparent and opaque finishing systems. It penetrates deep into the wood, protects it from within, and provides excellent adhesion for the final topcoat.

Thanks to its water-repellent and moisture-regulating properties, Wixx PRO Aqua Wood Impregnator UV+ offers long-lasting protection against moisture and weathering. The product is low odour, quick drying and, once dry, can be overcoated with both water-based and solvent-based paints and wood stains. Its colourless formula also makes it an ideal base for transparent stains and varnishes.

Directions for Use

Ensure the surface is clean, dry, dust-free and free from grease. Remove any loose coatings and lightly sand weathered wood. Apply Wixx PRO Aqua Wood Impregnator UV+ generously to bare or sanded wood. On highly absorbent wood species, apply until the wood is fully saturated. Remove any excess product with a clean, lint-free cloth to achieve an even finish. Allow new or damp wood to dry thoroughly before treatment.

Preparation

Stir Wixx PRO Aqua Wood Impregnator UV+ thoroughly before use, including the sediment at the bottom of the container. Apply the product at a surface and ambient temperature between 10°C and 25°C. Do not apply in direct sunlight, during rain, or if rain is expected shortly after application.

Application

Apply Wixx PRO Aqua Wood Impregnator UV+ evenly using a brush, block brush or roller, following the direction of the wood grain. Work board by board or in manageable sections to ensure a uniform finish. Allow the product to penetrate the wood thoroughly and remove any excess material in time. After approximately 4 hours, the surface can be finished with a transparent or opaque wood stain or paint.
