Wixx PU Metal Primer

Wixx PU metal primer is a high-quality 1-component, solvent-based and user-friendly primer with excellent adhesion. This primer has a specific composition that results in safe application and high adhesion value. Therefore, this Wixx PU metal primer is an industrial primer that is safe to use. After 1 coat of primer, we recommend applying 2 coats of Wixx PU Metal Paint for optimal results.

This product is ideally suited for virtually all types of metals, iron and steel constructions. This product from Wixx Coatings can also be applied both indoors and outdoors.

Specifications

• Suitable for indoor and outdoor use
• Particularly wear-resistant
• Coverage is approximately 6 to 8 m2 per litre
• Dust-dry after 6 to 8 hours
• Recoatable after 16 hours
• Fully cured after 24 hours

Pre-treatment:

• First thoroughly degrease the substrate with Wixx Super Degreaser and then lightly sand
• Then apply 1 coat of Wixx PU metal primer to create excellent adhesion
• The application temperature is minimum +5ºC and maximum +25ºC. Good ventilation during and after application is essential

Application:
Wixx PU metal primer can be applied with roller, brush or airless spray.
If you use airless spray, dilute 5% with Wixx PU Thinner.

Thinning/Cleaning:
Wixx primer can be thinned and cleaned with Wixx PU Thinner.

Finishing:
After applying 1 coat of Wixx PU metal primer, we therefore recommend applying 1 or 2 coats of Wixx PU Metal Paint.
