Wixx Black Wood Coat

Wixx Wood Coat Black is a high-quality bitumen coating based on 1 component, enriched with carefully selected synthetic resins. This coating has been specifically developed for preserving wooden elements such as sheds, posts, fences and enclosures. In addition, the product can be applied without problems over surfaces that have previously been treated with coal tar or carbolineum. Thanks to the strong adhesion to aged tar and bitumen layers, this wood coat black offers optimal protection. Moreover, this product has high UV protection.

Instructions for use
This wood coat black can be easily applied using a brush, roller or spray gun. At a temperature of 20°C, the film is touch-dry after 4 hours and fully handleable after 8 hours. For optimal results, the application temperature should be between 10°C and 25°C. Note: do not apply the product when the temperature drops below 3°C. Therefore always ensure a dry, grease-free and dust-free substrate before starting. If necessary, the product can be thinned with our special thinner. Depending on the desired layer thickness, we recommend applying the product in 2 coats.

Application:
Wixx Wood Coat Black can be applied with a roller, brush or airless spray.
Important: when using airless spray, thin 5% with Wixx Turpentine/White Spirit.

Thinning/Cleaning:
For thinning or cleaning you can use Wixx Turpentine/White Spirit.

Primer:
For untreated surfaces we always recommend 2 coats of Wixx Wood Coat Black.
