Wixx douglas stain UV+ provides long-lasting protection against weather conditions and UV radiation, keeping douglas wood beautiful for longer. The douglas stain also penetrates deep into the wood, prevents flaking and cracking and delivers a durable, satin finish.

Application
Wixx douglas stain UV+ has been specially developed for protecting and beautifying douglas wood, such as facade cladding, garden structures and other wooden applications in outdoor environments. It is therefore suitable for both hardwood and softwood and applicable on treated and untreated wood.

Application instructions
First clean the substrate and degrease it thoroughly (use Wixx Super Degreaser). Ensure the wood is completely clean, dry and dust-free.
Then stir the wood stain thoroughly before use for an even colour and finish.
Then apply the douglas stain with a brush, roller or spray and work in the direction of the wood grain for optimal results.
For new or untreated wood, it is recommended to apply at least 2 coats.
Lightly sand between coats with a fine grit (P220) for an extra smooth finish.

Thinning and Cleaning
Do not thin: Wixx douglas stain UV+ is ready to use.
Clean tools immediately after use with turpentine or white spirit.

Primer
For untreated wood, it is recommended to first apply a coat of Wixx Wood Impregnator. This improves the adhesion and durability of the douglas wood stain.

Coverage
The yield is approximately 16 m² per litre, depending on the wood type and absorption.

Drying time
Dust-dry: after 6 hours
Recoatable: after 24 hours
Fully cured: after 7 days
