Wixx PU Metal Paint

Wixx PU metal paint is a high-quality 1-component, solvent-based and user-friendly paint with excellent coverage. This paint has a specific composition that results in safe application and a particularly wear-resistant metal finish with optimal adhesion. Therefore, this Wixx PU metal paint is an industrial coating that is safe to use. When treating new metal, we recommend using a primer first. The Wixx PU Metal Primer is ideally suited for this purpose.

This product is highly suitable for virtually all types of metals, iron and steel constructions. This product can also be applied both indoors and outdoors.

Properties:

• Particularly wear-resistant
• High coverage
• Satin finish
• Dust-dry after 8 hours
• Recoatable after 16 hours
• Coverage is approximately 8m2 per litre

Pre-treatment:
First thoroughly degrease the substrate with Wixx Super Degreaser and then lightly sand. Then apply one coat of Wixx PU Metal Primer to create excellent adhesion. Mix the product thoroughly for approximately 3 minutes using a metal mixer. The application temperature is minimum +5ºC and maximum +25ºC. Good ventilation during and after application is essential for this paint. Drying time: Touch-dry within 6 to 8 hours. Fully cured after 24 hours, provided well ventilated and under dry conditions.

Application:
Wixx PU metal paint can be applied with roller, brush or airless spray.
If you use airless spray, dilute 5% with Wixx PU Thinner.

Thinning/Cleaning:
Wixx paint can be thinned and cleaned with Wixx PU Thinner.

Primer:
For untreated surfaces we therefore always recommend first applying 1 coat of Wixx Metal Primer, followed by 2 coats of Wixx PU metal paint.
