Wixx 2K Primer Aqua

Wixx 2K Primer Aqua is a durable and very user-friendly two-component, transparent water-thinnable epoxy primer, which is suitable for almost any difficult substrate. Very widely applicable in combination with almost any type of transparent and opaque floor coating. This primer is slightly filling and maintains the structure of the substrate. The primer ensures optimal adhesion between the substrate and the final product. This product can also be used as a final product for interiors and then functions as a transparent, wear-resistant dust binder. For exteriors only suitable as an adhesion layer and not as a final coat.
Wixx 2K Primer Aqua is very widely applicable but is particularly often applied to floors in production spaces, workshops, shops, garages, office buildings, warehouses and living spaces.

Properties:

• Working time (pot life): 60 minutes
• Dust-dry after 90 minutes
• Walkable after 12 hours
• Recoatable (2nd and subsequent coats): 16 to 24 hours (also depending on layer thickness)
• Mechanically loadable after 48 hours
• The substrate temperature must be at least 5 ˚C and 3 ˚C above the dew point to prevent condensation
• The moisture content of the substrate may be maximum 4%
• Do not apply below 5°C
• Relative humidity may be maximum 85%
• Coverage: average 6 m2/kg per coat
• Satin gloss
• Apply with brush or roller
• Thinning: water

Substrate preparation:
Every substrate must be cleaned with Wixx Super Degreaser and rinsed with water. The surface must be clean and the advantage with Wixx Super Degreaser is that the floor also becomes anti-static, ensuring optimal adhesion.

Application:
Wixx 2K Aqua Primer can be applied with roller, brush or airless spray. Important: when using spray, thin 5% with water and clean very thoroughly with water after use.

Thinning/Cleaning:
Wixx 2K Aqua Primer may be thinned maximum 10% with water. Cleaning can also be done with water.

Finishing:
We always recommend applying a coat of Wixx 2K Aqua Primer to eliminate absorption from the substrate and optimize adhesion. Then finish with 2 coats of Wixx 2K Epoxy AQ 750 Concrete Coating.
