Wixx PRO Railway Sleeper Black

Wixx PRO railway sleeper black is a black protective agent based on tar-free bitumen. This agent protects, beautifies and is fast-drying. Suitable for railway sleepers, retaining walls and other rough wood. Also applicable on wood that has previously been treated with carbolineum or creosote oil. Odourless and non-toxic after drying; does not burn on skin and plants. Can be applied with brush or sheepskin applicator.

Application

All rough wood types. Also on wood that has previously been treated with creosote-containing products.

Coverage
Planed wood: approximately 8 m²
Fine sawn wood: approximately 5 m²

Application advice
Stir Wixx Pro railway sleeper black well before use. The substrate must first be clean, dry and dust-free. Apply with brush, roller or spray equipment. Product does not need to be thinned. Clean tools with turpentine. Treat new work two to three times. Touch up existing work and after drying then finish the whole once or twice.

Application
Wixx railway sleeper black can be applied with roller, brush or airless spray.
If using airless spray, thin 5% with Wixx turpentine/white spirit.

Thinning/Cleaning

Wixx wood preservative can be thinned and cleaned with Wixx turpentine/white spirit.

Primer
For untreated surfaces we therefore always recommend applying 2 coats of Wixx bituminous wood protection.
