Wixx PRO black varnish is a solvent-based iron paint based on bitumen. It provides good protection of metal surfaces against moisture and is also weather and water resistant. The resistance to diluted acids and bases is good. Due to its special polymers, this black varnish is somewhat flexible.
This bituminous coating is ideally intended for the protection of iron, steel, concrete and wood. It can also be applied to galvanized material (provided pre-blasted) and can also be used for underground objects and slurry pits.
Black varnish is not miscible with tar-containing products.

Application advice
The substrate must first be dry and free from grease, dirt, rust and mill scale. If necessary, degrease with ammonia solution or paint cleaner.
Stir well before use. The temperature of the substrate must then be at least 5°C above the dew point.
New work: Treat two to three times with the bituminous protective layer to a total wet film thickness of approximately 120 micrometers.
Existing work: Touch up damaged areas and treat with the iron paint. After drying, finish the whole once with a dry film thickness of approximately 50 micrometers.
