Wixx 2K Universal Primer

Wixx 2K Primer Universal is a very well-covering adhesion layer for new and existing substrates. Think of self-leveling compound, new concrete or other processed or unprocessed concrete. In addition, this universal primer is excellently suitable for application on metal and wood.

Properties:

• Ensures good adhesion
• Provides excellent coverage
• Suitable for both interior and exterior
• Drying time approximately 12 hours (depending on temperature)
• Recoatable approximately 16 to 24 hours (depending on temperature)
• Coverage: approximately 10m2 per litre (depending on substrate absorption)

For a liquid-tight floor that is resistant to chemicals, oils, greases and tire plasticizers, we recommend 1 coat of Wixx 2K Primer Universal and 2 coats of Wixx 2K Concrete Coating. This combination creates a liquid-tight floor that is also very easy to clean.

Substrate preparation:
Every substrate must be cleaned with Wixx Super Degreaser and rinsed with water. The surface must be clean and the advantage with Wixx Super Degreaser is that the floor also becomes anti-static, ensuring optimal adhesion.

Application:
Wixx 2K Universal Primer can be applied with roller, brush or airless spray. Important: when using spray, thin 5% with Epoxy Thinner and clean very thoroughly with Epoxy Thinner or White Spirit/Turpentine after use.

Thinning/Cleaning:
Wixx 2K Universal Primer may be thinned maximum 5% with Epoxy Thinner. Cleaning can be done with Epoxy Thinner or White Spirit/Turpentine.

Finishing:
We always recommend applying a coat of Wixx 2K Universal Primer to eliminate absorption from the substrate and thereby optimize adhesion. Then finish with one of the following products:

• Wixx 2K PU 450 Concrete Coating
• Wixx 2K PU Metal Coating
• Wixx 2K Epoxy Metal Coating
