Wixx door and frame stain UV+ provides excellent protection for wooden exterior doors and frames. The door and frame stain penetrates deep into the wood and therefore prevents drying out, cracking and fading due to UV radiation. This also preserves the natural beauty of the wood and provides a long-lasting, satin finish.

Application
Wixx door and frame stain UV+ is ideally suited for protecting and refreshing wooden exterior doors and frames. The product can therefore be applied to both new and previously treated wood, significantly extending the lifespan and appearance of your doors and frames.

Application instructions
First ensure that the wood surface is thoroughly cleaned and degreased (use Wixx All-purpose Cleaner) and that it is completely dry and dust-free. Then stir the exterior wood stain thoroughly for an even colour and finish. Then apply the door and frame stain with a brush, roller or spray, work in the direction of the wood grain and apply at least two coats for new or untreated wood. Light sanding between coats with a fine grit (P220) also improves adhesion and ensures an extra smooth finish.

Thinning and Cleaning
The frame stain is ready to use and requires no thinning. Clean the tools immediately after use with turpentine or white spirit.

Primer
For untreated wood, it is advised to first apply a coat of Wixx Wood Impregnator. This ensures optimal adhesion and durability of the door and frame stain.

Coverage
Average yield: approximately 16 m² per litre, depending on the wood type and absorption.
